Consider the Source
The survival/prepper world seems to attract a good number of self-styled prophets and prognosticators (can’t believe I actually spelled that correctly the first time around, LOL). These are people who will tell you, with the utmost conviction, that “something” is going to happen in such-and-such time frame.

Source Allusions
Sometimes they allude to some sort of secret knowledge or insider info. Other times they talk about the research they’ve done, examining records, online resources, and the like, formulating an “informed” opinion as to what is going to happen when.
Perhaps they may even allude to some sort of esoteric or even paranormal information source. What they never seem to have, though, are details.
Source Checklist
I would HIGHLY encourage you to take any and all of these predictions with a grain of salt the size of Manhattan. While some of them are interesting and even insightful, the facts are this:
1) The odds that some rando on social media has the true inside track about major developments on the horizon is about nil. Think about it like this — any entity with the power and ability to pull off the sorts of things that have been predicted is certainly powerful enough to locate and silence the person crowing about it.
2) The person who is making the predictions has exactly ZERO accountability. They can say whatever they want, with little fear of reprisal from their audience. For all you know, they are engaging in a social experiment to see how many people they can get to buy into a theory they made up while they were half-lit and watching Star Trek.
Believe what and who you want but please consider the fact that you probably have other human beings relying upon you in some capacity, such as family.
Don’t sell off your stocks, don’t dip into your retirement funds, don’t liquidate all of your assets and sink the funds into Spam and toilet paper, just because you read a vague post on Facebook that alluded to some event maybe coming down someday soon.
I mean, I get it
We all want to feel as though we belong to some sort of special group, people who have access to secret info that isn’t available to the masses we call “sheeple,” right? Y’know how we define that term? A group of people who blindly follow what their told.
Use your head for something other than a hat rack. Apply logic and common sense. Consider the source for the information. If they’ve proven themselves reliable, by all means, heed their warning.
On the other hand, if they’ve been right about as often as one of those “pick the winning lotto numbers” systems advertised in the tabloids, maybe you might consider doing a little more research on your own.
Totally agree! But… I have my sources that aliens from planet zero are running our government. ; )
If a person has food , water, cash, PMs to substain his or her family for a few weeks or months. Then you can just read the doom and gloom and laugh. There is nothing new under the sun….So preps are like insurance on your car or house. Need it its there. Something will happen at some time in your life… So just don’t panic, prepare.
