Write For Us:
Want to have your experiences, thoughts and ideas featured here at Beans, Bullets, Bandages & You? We’d like to share them with others. (NOTE: If you just want to read a fresh article and have no interest in writing or creating content, skip down to the bottom, I’ve got a link to a good 3BY article in the archives that you probably haven’t seen.)
As you know, we are a completely free, non-income generating blog that’s working to build “tribe” in the preparedness community. Our mission is simple and direct, to openly share prepping and survival information in an inclusive, non-political platform that is open to all. After all, the more people that prep, the better off we ALL are.

Write For Us: You know what we do here
We write about the four parts of our name. Beans (everything prepping food related, nutrition, etc.). Bullets (firearms information, reviews, tips, etc.). Bandages (prepper medicine, emergency medical training and supplies, first aid, general health and alternative medicine). You (your mind, your body, your environment and your well being).
It’s our goal to write or offer a new article daily, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We come pretty close to meeting this goal, but here’s a hard truth. While we have several people who have generously contributed articles to 3BY, most weeks 6 of the 7 articles we run (if not all seven) come from two people… people who also have full-time jobs.
I’ll be honest, we can use the help.
Write For Us: What are we looking for?
- The kind of articles you read here daily, such as
- Firearms reviews, tactics, safety and information
- Medical and heath information based on reproducible results
- Fitness information
- Wilderness tools, techniques and tips
- Outdoorsman information
- Hunting & fishing gear reviews
- Survival gear stories
- Historical lists for people in survival situations
- Anything else prepping related
Write For Us: Technical requirements:
- 750+ words please
- Images that you own the rights to (i.e. pictures you have taken, artwork you have drawn, etc.)
- The ability to not be mad when we make slight alterations to your text for grammar, add subheadings and images for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) purposes.
- Must pass all authenticity tests (i.e. no cut and paste of other articles without attribution).
We will include an author’s bio, and provide ONE link to your website (no keyword spamming please, if you are a blogger).
Note. We retain the copyright of every post published on our sites. If approved, you cannot republish your work elsewhere without asking first.
Write For Us: Payment
Nada. Not one cent. 3BY doesn’t generate a dime, it’s strictly “expense” for Salty & Spice, and we are already paying more out of budget than we probably should to keep the lights on. We can offer you recognition, experience and a do-follow link (which, at this point in time of our website’s life is actually something of value).
Create For Us:
Not a writer but have mad photo editing skills? Do you kill it on Pinterest, Instagram or other social media platforms? Is your idea of a fun night at home making photo graphics on Canva? Can you draw? If the answer is yes to any of the above, then we desperately could use your help.
Are you somebody who is a photographer? We also can use some help.
Write For Us: Submit your ideas to us
Before writing an article, you can submit some ideas to us using the following form:
Something Fresh To Read From The Archives
I think this is a great idea and one which is appreciated by readers like me. It is not often that a site offers it’s subscribers the opportunity to take part and contribute their knowledge and opinions. I’d be happy to contribute things like firearms reviews etc. I will gladly do so in the near future, but I don’t have anything of suitable quality drafted up just yet.
Sounds great, Brian, you can email me submissions or ideas at the email address salty at beansbulletsbandagesandyou dot com or just use the feedback form below in this article. I’m going to convert this article into a page, it will be linked through a tab at the top (either by it’s self or under Contact Us, I haven’t decided yet.
We are going to talk about it more in the future, but one of the things we want to do is develop “Tribe”, where people of all walks of life can share what they have learned from their experienced and education. There’s just so much out there that we can all share with each other!
