Bleach is a good choice for sanitizing tools, surfaces and laundry, so long as no one in the house is sensitive to it.
i always wondered if it was possible to freeze bleach to make it last longer.
Hi Mike. I haven’t tried this, but based on the chemical theory:
Refrigerating it should help it last.
Freezing is … hmm. It will help the chemical last longer, I think. However, in some solutions when you chill them the water will separate out and freeze first, leaving a more concentrated solution still liquid below. Concentrated sodium hypochlorite is a nasty, aggressive oxidizer I wouldn’t want to share living space with. I don’t know if bleach does this or not….
Excuse me while I pop a very Small container of bleach into my freezer (contained inside a second safety container with absorbent material) to try it out. Update to follow.

If you want a solid I suggest HTH (pool shock) instead.
